Suttur, September 18, 2026:<\/strong> Students of JSS High School, Suttur, delivered an impressive performance at the Biligere Hobli-Level Sports Meet held at Suttur in collaboration with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Nanjangud, and TSS High School, Tayur, and emerged as overall champions by securing several prizes in team games and athletics.<\/p>\n

In the boys\u2019 category, the school secured first and second places across Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Throwball and Ball Badminton competitions.<\/p>\n

In the girls\u2019 category, the students secured first and second places across Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Ball Badminton and Throwball competitions.<\/p>\n

In the boys\u2019 athletics events, Sharath Prasad secured first place in the 100 metres, while Mahantesh Nayak finished second. In the 200 metres, Sharath Prasad again secured first place, while Iranna finished second. Gunashital won first place in the 400 metres, with Iranna taking second place.<\/p>\n

Supreet secured first place in the 800 metres. In the 1500 metres, Sanju B. secured second place and Digant D. finished third. Basavaraju won first place in the 3000 metres, while Lohit secured second place. Pawan Marigowda secured first place in the 5000-metre walk.<\/p>\n

In the 4×100-metre relay, Biplap and his team secured first place, while Naveen and his team finished second. In the 4×400-metre relay, Gunashital and his team won first place, while Vijayakumar and his team secured second place.<\/p>\n

In the field events, Mahantesh Nayak secured first place in the long jump, Madiwala finished second in the high jump, and Vijay Kumar secured third place in the triple jump. In shot put, Mallikarjun secured second place and Deepu finished third. Mallikarjun also secured second place in the discus throw, while Iranna finished second in the javelin throw. The successful athletes qualified for the taluk-level competitions.<\/p>\n

Sharath Prasad emerged as the individual champion in the boys\u2019 category.<\/p>\n

In the girls\u2019 athletics events, Yogini Girish Hosamani secured first place in the 100 metres, while Amrutha finished second. In the 200 metres, Lakshmi won first place and Shweta C. secured second place. Shubhashree won first place in the 400 metres, while Sanjana finished second.<\/p>\n

In the 800 metres, Shubhashree secured first place and Chinmayi finished second. Shubhashree also won first place in the 1500 metres, while Bhumika secured second place. In the 3000 metres, Manvita won first place, while Roop secured third place. In the 3000-metre walk, Chandana secured first place and Prarthana finished third.<\/p>\n

In the 4×100-metre relay, Shubhashree and her team secured first place, while Yogini and her team finished second. In the 4×400-metre relay, Rakshita and her team won first place, while Lakshmi and her team secured second place.<\/p>\n

In the field events, Shweta secured first place in the long jump, while Jinalakshmi finished second. Yogini Girish Hosamani won first place in the high jump, while Chaitra secured second place. Rakshita won first place in the triple jump, while Chinmayi secured first place in the shot put.<\/p>\n

Satyapriya secured first place in the discus throw, while Pallavi finished second. Jinalakshmi won first place in the javelin throw. The successful athletes were selected to compete at the taluk level.<\/p>\n

Shubhashree emerged as the individual champion in the girls\u2019 category.<\/p>\n
